Hi I'm Ruth Teal

I'm a friend, a pianist and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all my life, and I was baptised when I was 8 years old. I have just finished secondary school and will be starting sixth form this year. I love to draw and paint, play the piano, socialise with my best friends and play netball. I am from a family of five and I am the youngest. My older sister is studying at university and working part time jobs and my older brother has just gone on his 2 year mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that what I am taught is true. Even though I am only young I have an understanding of the principles we believe and I know that it is right. I don't fully understand everything, but how could I, how could anyone. I know that as a young boy the prophet Joseph Smith was visited by God and Jesus and the church was restored. I know that the Book of Mormon blesses and changes lives. This gospel makes me so happy. The one thing people say about me is that I am always happy, and it is because I know the truth. I know why I'm here and where I came from and where I'm going and the purpose of life. The greatest thing I know is that I can be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, always have and always will. As a 16 year old girl, I am in the group of young women who have classes together, and activity night in the week. I like to tell people about my beliefs because of the love I have for my Heavenly Father, I love Him because He loves me and has done so much for me, so why wouldn't I want to share the good news of his true church?
