Hi I'm Jacee

I come from a family of 6 girls, I am currently serving as a Missionary in San Antonio, Texas. And I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm blonde :) I love being outdoors! Hunting, fishing, camping, all of it! I have 5 older sisters and no brothers, and I was always the tom-boy of the family. I have always been a dare devil, I'll usually try just about anything! I'm not afraid to get dirty, but I love being a girl too! I like to have my make-up on and my hair done. Pajamas are my favorite kind of clothing, I would wear them everywhere if I could! I really enjoy taking pictures and hope to be able to go into the photography field more in the future. I would say that I look most forward to being a mom and having a family of my own someday. I love working hard and getting things accomplished. I am a perfectionist. I like to do things right, but I also tend to wing my way through life sometimes! I love having fun and I love to laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy! It defines who I am. I know that I am a child of God and that he loves me. Without the knowledge that the gospel brings, I would be very lost. My religion is the basis of all that I do. I grew up in an LDS home and I am so grateful for that! However, I didn't realize how much it meant to me until I was about 16 years old. I reached a point when I really had to rely on the things I had been learning my whole life, and thats when I knew for sure that the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are true. I have found strength in the Book of Mormon and know for myself that it is true. I know that God is aware of me and that I can turn to Him for anything. And I know he's got a plan for me to live with Him again and be with my family forever! Being a Mormon has brought happiness to me that I know I can't find anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The gospel has helped me out so much in my life and is so special to me that I can't keep it to myself! Everyone in the world deserves the happiness that is available to them as they learn about and live the principles of the gospel. I have left my home and family and friends for 18 months to serve The Lord in the Texas San Antonio Mission. In a way putting my life on hold as far as school or family goes because I know there are people out there who need what I have been blessed to have my whole life! I try to be the best I can be so that I can be an example to others and help them gain a stronger relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I stand for what I know is right and try to live the standards of the church the very best that I can! I know that true happiness can only be found in this gospel, and I want others to discover that for themselves.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jacee
We all lived with Heavenly Father before we came to this earth as His spirit children. He wants us to be able to return to live with Him after this life. In order to do so we must be perfect even as He is. As mortal human beings we will always sin. Heavenly Father knows this, so he sent His son Jesus Christ to Atone for those sins. The Atonement includes Christ suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane for the sins and sorrows of everyone who has lived, who does now live, and who will live on the earth. He then died on the cross for us. And 3 days later he was Resurrected. Meaning that His body and His spirit were re-united, overcoming death. The Atonement is the center of Gods plan for us to live with Him again! Only through the Atonement can we be forgiven of our sins and become perfect, allowing us to return to God's presence. It was necessary for Christ to die so that all mankind may be saved. Because of His suffering we have a way to return to be with Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
