Hi I'm Sarah

About Me

I am blessed with a great family. I am married to my best friend who keeps me laughing. I have 3 wild and crazy boys, who bring happiness, and laughter to my life (and some stress too) My husband recently graduated and we may be moving to Texas. I have had the opportunity to travel, which I LOVE. I enjoy scrapbooking and card making.

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in the church, like I was, does not guarantee that someone will remain in the church. My parents instilled a strong foundation in the gospel, one that always just "made sense" to me. As a young adult, I needed to decide if living the gospel was something I was doing because it was true, and right and good, or if it was because I didn't know any better. As I thought, and pondered, I realized that while I certainly don't understand everything, I knew that there were unmistakable times in my life that Heavenly Father has guided me, supported me, taught me, and most of all, LOVED ME. I knew then, that living without the gospel was not something I was really willing to do. I soon decided to go on a mission, and was called to Perth Australia. After returning home, I later married my best friend in the Salt Lake Temple. Raising my kids in the gospel is the right thing for our family... I don't deny that it is HARD to get to church every week, keep them quiet, teach them, and learn for my self, all while my husband may be sleeping from working the night shift. But I know that I guide them in this life, the gospel provides answers to all of their questions. And I know we can be an eternal family. I can't imagine not being together.

How I live my faith

I have had several different service opportunities in the wards I have lived in. I've been a teacher to the adult women, I've helped in Cub Scouts, helped prepare activities. All have brought great happiness in my life from serving others. I have to admit, that my favorite acts of service have been working with the teen-aged girls. I love watching them grow into strong, capable, independent faithful women. I find there are so many opportunities to help one and other if we just open our eyes and truly see whats going on around us. I'm not very good at it, but strive to be better.
