Hi I'm Mavis

I love my culture. Music is my passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Mavis Lautiki Rumble, and I am from Fiji. I just recently graduated from BYU-Hawaii with a Bachelor's in Business Management, an emphasis on Human Resources and Organizational Behavior. It's been a little over a year since I've been married to my love, and it has been the best experience so far - I love being married! During my spare time, I like to sing, listen to music, cook, bake, and clean and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon since birth, and I am so grateful that my parents had that much faith and were willing to accept the gospel into their lives. This gospel has done so much for me, growing up as a teenager and into a young woman, I've learned values and principles that have helped me draw closer to my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Definitely a point in my life where I had to really ask myself if the things I had been taught were true. The Book of Mormon helped me to have a better understanding of my Savior, and the potential I had in achieving my goals if I looked at things from an eternal perspective. I am Mormon because I know for myself who I am, what my purpose is, and where I am going after this life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through accepting callings/responsibilities that a local leader of our Church, or what we call a Bishop, gives me. Church callings help us devote our time to members of the Church, whether if it's through teaching Sunday School, taking care of Youths, or organizing activities for the Ward/congregation. I have participated in teaching Sunday School for the Adult Class, organizing events for Youths, and also helping out with music for the congregation.
