Hi I'm Doctor Bill

Raised in North Daklota, my picture shows me going winter camping on snowshoes. Yes, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as an emergency physician in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area. To relax from the stresses at work my family and I enjoy backpacking, skiing and boating. On my own I play hockey and ride my motorcycle.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Plan of Salvation as revealed through the restoration of the Gospel. The Savior has made known through modern prophets that all of God's children can return to our Father in Heaven even if they did not hear of the Savior in this mortal life. After death, the spirits of those who never even heard the name Jesus Christ when mortals on earth will be taught of the Savior's atonement and have an opportunity to accept Him as their Savior and Redeemer. This resolves the great conflict between "there is only one name given under Heaven by which a man may be saved" and the unimaginable concept that God would send millions of people to hell who had never heard the name Jesus Christ. I have received a confirmation through the Spirit of the Lord that this teaching is true. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Living the principles of the Gospel has provided a solid foundation for me while practicing a chaotic medical career with its accompanying family disruptions. Life has not been textbook or easy but it has been rewarding. My love of the outdoors has found me working for years with the Church sponcered Boy Scout Troop. Decades after joining the Church and faithfully living its teachings my college friends are finally convinced that I was serious when I joined the Church.
