Hi I'm Ken

I grew up in California, lived in Asia before retiring in Georgia and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been blessed with many abilities, from understanding financial investments to building homes. Handyman, is probably a good word to use when I work around the house. I understand building construction that includes, plumbing, and electrical work. My daughters think I am their personal auto mechanic having experience with race cars. I enjoy taking a ride on my softail Harley and the company of other riders. My greatest joy comes from my family and living in a free country. Having spent time in the military, I understand the price of freedom and have a greater appreciation and love for those that serve in the military. Living the gospel has influenced my life since joining the church over 26 years ago, thanks to missionaries who never gave up on me. I am grateful to my savior, Jesus Christ, for his love and atoning sacrifice. I love life and enjoy serving others.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because the Holy Ghost testified to me this was indeed God's true church. The more I studied the gospel of Jesus Christ and learned about the plan of salvation I realized there was more to life than just living in a temporal world. Families can truly be together forever through our Heavenly Fathers Plan. Life is a journey and as one learns of their heritage and studies the creation, answers to many life's questions can be found in the book of Mormon. Studying the book of Mormon in conjunction with the Bible provides clarity, greater appreciation, and love for God's influence in one's life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example. I truly believe if one can stay spiritually focused and and not temporally, you can endure life's challenges with Gods love. I enjoy helping others and doing my part as a member of the church when called upon through callings, assignments, and reaching out to the needy. Having a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ provides that inter peace through trying times.

Are Mormons Christians?

I am not sure why some other religions want to say that the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are not Christians. The foundation of the church is built upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and He is the head of the church today. The organization of the church today is the same as when Jesus Christ organized it in earlier times as noted in the Bible. Show more Show less
