Hi I'm Joseph

I want to make the world a better place, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family and the oudoors. I especaially love to go camping, hiking and fishing. I am in college right now, trying to balance social life, academics, church life and hobbies. I try to be involved inmy community politically, interning at local government offices, and campaigning when i can. I also enjoy reading, and learning about pretty much any subject.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I am only one person in a small town, I want to make the world a better place. As a young adult starting out in life their are alot of questions and alot of opportunities that come with those first few years of freedom from parents and home. I have seen so many around me throw away their intelligence, their success, and mostly their happiness for the cheap and fake pleasure that the world has to offer. When I see those around me who are struggling to find happiness by running to the next "cool" thing, it hurts. I have found peace in knowing that true happiness is found in knowing God, and following His Son, Jesus Christ's teachings. Growing up I had heard all about the gospel and all about the blessings. In the shelter of home, it never really made sense, I took it for granted. As I got into the highschool years slowly I recognized more and more the peace that came to those who followed Christ. In the same light I saw more and more the unhappiness of those who were involved thrills of life, like drugs, alcohol, casual sex, ect. As I grew in the knowledge of my Savior, through reading about Him in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and listenting to the prophets on the earth today I saw for myself how a full, happy, and successful life could be found by living the way Christ himself lived. He had to be the happiest man on earth! I wanted that peace and happiness as well!

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by following my Savior. Whatever he askes me to do, I do my very best to do it. I was able to spend two years in Alabama preaching His gospel, and I loved every moment of it! I try everyday to ask myself, "What would Christ do?" and then when I see someone with a flat tire, or I see someone carrying something heavy I jump right in to help them. One of my favorite things I have done was to be able spend a year helping teaching the gospel, as well as play games and etertain those who are both mormon and none mormon with Special Needs in my community.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

We need them more today then ever. Originally Christ had them to go into all the world and preach His message of hope. Today they do the same. They travel throughout the world to Africa, Europe, Asia, Americas, Australia ect telling people about Christ, and the peace only He can bring to us. They are also needed because now more then ever their are so many negative influences trying to destroy families, communities, marragies, and lives. The Twelve Apostles on the earth today teach us directly from Christ what we can do to stay away from those evil influences, and to protect our families, as well as find our own peace. They are not just a bunch of old men making good guesses. They recieve directly from Christ what He would say if He was teaching us how to fight these evil influences. Christ is the same Yesterday Today and Forever which means whatever He would did to bless His Children 2000 years ago when he was on the earth, he would do today. Show more Show less

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Growing up in a large family, I saw how following Christ blesses a family. When we have faith in Christ we are trying to become like Him. That is faith: to follow His teachings. The more we learn about Him, the more we try to practice patience, forgiveness, charity, love, and so many other morals that bless a relationship. In a family it is very easy to get distracted by the little things a person does but when we learn to forgive, and when we do our best to serve our family, just as Christ would, we find more happiness in our families, and our relationships have more pourpose.
