Hi I'm Adam

I'm a mountain man

About Me

I graduated college 2 years ago and now I am working full time as a graphic designer. I love keeping up with current design and learning more about design principles. I'm a bachelor and I love getting out and having fun. My idea of fun is enjoying the outdoors - snowboarding, hiking, camping, climbing, fishing, and hunting are a few ways I accomplish this.

Why I am a Mormon

I've decided to be a mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of the world. I can literally feel his influence when I strive to follow his example and it brings me peace and happiness. I know that this is his church on earth today because it follows the pattern God has always followed - prophets, apostles, scripture, authority, baptism by immersion, gifts of the holy ghost, and more. The Book of Mormon proves to me that God speaks to all his children - those of the bible, those living on the Americas during the same time period, and to all of us now. Through this I know that God loves me and because of that love he has answered my prayers confirming that following Jesus Christ in the Mormon church will help me return to him after this life. I'm a mormon because I know where I came from, why I am here on this earth, and where I am going after I leave.

How I live my faith

I love the participation that the church encourages. I get to participate in a calling and serve the Lord by teaching others about him and serving my fellow man around me. I have made a lot of friends through activities in the church - every monday night the single members of the church get together to do some kind of activity and have spiritual lesson. It's great to have other people around who encourage me to uphold high standards.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Families are so important to our happiness in life. The love that can exist between two people is one of the most valued parts of life. God loves us so much that in his plan for us he made it possible to live together forever in happiness with our spouse. By living the teachings of Christ we keep love and peace in our homes that continues forever. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Well, its logical, really! If I have to be baptized to go to heaven (John ch3) - doesn't everybody else? If someone died without hearing about Jesus Christ then they still need to be baptized, but don't have a body. I can be baptized for them - then they can choose whether to accept it or not. God loves us all, and whether we hear about Jesus Christ in this life or not - he provides a way for us to return to him - this is one of those ways. Show more Show less
