Hi I'm Kaycee Landsaw

I am 24 years old. I am a rollerblader. I am an individual. I am dreamer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 24 years old and I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. Most of my time outside of school and work was spent roaming around downtown Salt Lake City looking for new places to rollerblade, snowboard, film, or photograph. I tend to look at the world a little bit different than most people do. A lot of people see things like an old abandoned building as ugly or a waste of space. I see it as a new place for me to create. I enjoy letting the world see things as I do whether it be through my skating, my films, or my photos. I love art and the freedom of mind that it gives me. I love life and all that comes with it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it is what I feel my Heavenly Father wants for me. Time and time again I have retired to my knees and poured out my heart to God seeking for truth. Time and time again I have received that same witness that I did the very first time I asked if He was really there. The Lord speaks peace to me. The Lord promises that those who seek will find. As I have sought after what it is that the Lords wants for me I have found many things. Nothing I have found has made feel whole as I have felt when I found and lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Being a Mormon is liberating. Nothing feels better than being able to feel the Atonement of Christ work in you. The Lord is merciful unto all of those who come to him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit. I feel that my broken heart has been mended by Him who is all loving and caring. Though all that I have been through in life, thick and thin, the Lord has been there. I am a mormon because it is what the Lord wants for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be my best at all times. I believe the best way for me to show my love for my Savior is to do my best. I always strive to have a smile on my face and to help those in need. Right now I live my faith by being a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for the next 2 years. I am serving the wonderful people of Atlanta, Georgia. Each day I get to go out and to share the things that I know to be true to all people. I get to meet new people every day, share my beliefs, and serve them in any way that I can. I am happier than I have ever been before in my life. There is a certain peace that comes to your life as you dedicate your time to serving others. I love people. I love seeing smiles and lives changing. I am grateful for this time that I have to share my faith with others. I live my faith by serving others and keeping a smile on my face.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Kaycee Landsaw
All things in life point to God. Before we can even wake up each morning God gives us breath. There is no way that I could ever deny that there is a God. I have had many moments in my life where I have been walking through the trees, standing on top of a mountain, or on the beach as a the sun sets and thought to myself there is no way this could have just happened, there has to be a God. No matter where I am I can look around and see God's creations. God is a God of creation. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

Kaycee Landsaw
The Book of Mormon is the word of God. It is an acient record of God's dealings with the people who lived in the ancient Americas. It contains revelations to prophets just as those that are recorded in the Bible. The Book of Mormon takes place from 600 B.C. to 421 A.D., it testifies of the coming of Christ and the physical resurrection of Christ. The crowning event in the Book of Mormon is when the resurrected Christ appears to the people in the Americas and lets them feel the prints in his hands and sides. This record of God's dealings with those here in the ancient Americas was compiled by a prophet historian named Moroni and sealed up until the early 1800's. Being lead by an angelic messenger, the boy Joseph Smith uncovered the records of those ancient prophets. In due time and by the power of God, Joseph Smith translated those records into what we know now as the Book of Mormon. Those who read from the Book of Mormon will come to know that Jesus Christ is the Lord, Savior, and Redeemer of the world. Those who pray to know whether this book is true or not will receive a manifestation from the Holy Ghost that the book is true. I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon to know it it is true. Over and over again I have received the same answer I did the first time I prayed to know if it was true. I love the Book of Mormon. As I read it and apply its teachings I feel closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. As I read it I find that my life has purpose. Show more Show less
