Hi I'm Heidi

I love being outside. I am a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outside. There is no better place. Hiking with my mom, fishing and skiing and playing soccer with my brothers, swimming. I love viewing and making art. I paint in watercolor. I love to learn because "knowledge does away with darkness, anxiety and doubt" (Joseph Smith). I was studying public relations, business and art in school before I took a break to be a missionary!

Why I am a Mormon

I studied art in London for a semester and I loved everything about being there. I taught the 4-year-old class in church and each week I prepared lessons on basic truths, like "Heavenly Father Loves Me," and "Heavenly Father Created the Earth." Nothing else I was doing in London made me happier than anticipating the next Sunday when I could teach those kids again. I realized that the Spirit was teaching me, too. God was teaching me that those things I learned all my life in the Mormon church are true. Now I read the Book of Mormon every day. Every day the things I read make sense in my mind. Every truth I learn in any place highlights something I am taught by this book.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm a missionary in Illinois, teaching people about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I love to see people bring the faith and foundation they already have and build on it truths from the Book of Mormon.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Heidi
Our bodies are amazing gifts from God! They were created by our Perfect Father and meant to work the way they are as we treat them with care. When we take care of them they can be houses for the Holy Spirit because they are beautiful, and they were built by God. Show more Show less
