Hi I'm Cameron

I grew up in Southern Utah and I study astronomy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graduate student studying astronomy. I think astronomy is interesting because it allows me to study the beauty of God's creation. I grew up on a ranch and I LOVED it! I love riding horses, hunting, and being outdoors. However, I love my wife and son even more.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ as restored through the prophet Joseph Smith is complete. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is organized the same way as the ancient church established by Jesus himself was. My love of Jesus Christ motivates me to be a good husband and father and also helps me obey the commandments.

How I live my faith

I work with the missionaries in finding people who are willing to listen to the message of the restored gospel. I try to be an example by being kind and helpful to the people we work with. By remembering that God loves all of his children, I am empowered to reach out to those who are searching for the truth.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Cameron
We believe that the church is a sacred place, and we show our respect for God by dressing nicely at church. Mormons generally celebrate the holidays of the country in which they live: Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. We are a family-centered people, and any holiday that is fun for the whole family is sure to be observed by the Mormons!
