Hi I'm Wayne

I'm a son of God, a brother, a friend, a student, I like to have fun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a college student. I am going to school to get a degree in Management Information Systems, and a minor in Family Life. When I graduate, I am going to work in the Healthcare industry. I enjoy spending time with my friends. I like to watch plays, go to concerts, recitals, or other fine arts performances. I like to take pictures, dance, ice skate, play ultimate Frisbee, ride bikes, hike, read, study and learn, eat, sleep, go to school, play, and have fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a Mormon, or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because I know that it is the true church of God. He restored the original powers, organization, doctrine, and ordinances that are necessary for us to return to live with him someday as eternal families. I learned that this was the true church from the time I was young. My mom taught me bible stories from a book. I listened to them and loved them. Eventually, when I was about eight years old, I read the Book of Mormon too, and followed the promise given by Moroni; to ask of God and see if they were true. One night, while lying in my bed, I asked God if the Book of Mormon was true, and if this Church was the only true church. I felt a feeling of peace, and knew that it was true. Since I have had other experiences that have continued to confirm the validity of the answer I received so many years ago.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. I live my faith by being of service to others. I have learned that the greatest gift I can give to those around me is to care about them try to help them be happy. As Jesus walked the earth, he took time to talk to people, help them with the things that troubled them, or simply be a friend. I strive to follow that example each day. In my church calling, I help the Bishop manage his schedule by setting up appointments for people who want to meet with him. I also help everyone know what is happening by sending text messages to them about activities.

Are Mormons Christians?

Of course we are! The name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints. My beliefs are centered around the fact that Jesus is the Christ, He who ancient prophets prophesied would come and redeem the world see the Old Testament, He who was born of Mary, who lived and died and resurrected the third day see New Testament, and He who paid the price for my sins, and as I come to him with a repentant heart provides mercy and salvation. Everything in the church points back to Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and I know He lives. Show more Show less
