Hi I'm Theresa

I grew up in Albuquerque, where I met the love of my life. I 'm a Registered Nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a nurse for ten years, in various areas of nursing. I currently work in a hospital, taking care of cancer patients. I work hard and love my work, but also enjoy my time away to travel with my husband. We love going on day trips and always bring along our two spoiled "babies" --our chihuahuas, Coco and Ginger. I am a girley girl who loves flowers, poetry, makeup, and shopping! I always have the radio on, because I love listening to music--especially classical music. I've recently been trying to learn to sing more hymns.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't raised a member of the church. My husband introduced me to the mormon church, and for this reason, I had to really know that I was deciding to be baptized for ME and not just for him. I asked the missionaries and friends how I could tell that I was doing it for myself. It wasn’t until I prayed to Heavenly Father that I got my answer! As I prayed for my answer, and started reading the Book of Mormon, I was blessed with the realization, “Yes, this is TRUE!” I started following the commandments and gospel principles and it blessed my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined! I know that Jesus is our Redeemer, our Savior, and that His true church was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. It is through reading the scriptures and LIVING in faith, that I have grown in my strong testimony of this.

How I live my faith

By following the church teachings, I have bettered my life in many ways. I believe there is a blessing for everything you do right. If you do a big thing right, you have a big blessing in return and for even just a small thing you do, if it is right, you will see a blessing. I help in my church to organize and plan activities for young women. I enjoy visiting fellow members of the church on a regular basis in their homes and providing service to those in need. For me, living my faith, is through the actions I do..reading scripture daily, praying daily, providing services, and attending church activities regularly.
