Hi I'm Mindy

I'm happy to be alive. I'm married to a wonderful man, who cherishes me and I him. I'm the mother of 5 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life. In 2009 I had had an accident where I fell off a horse and broke my neck and my femur. I am so blessed that I have been able to completely recover. I was able to complete a triathlon one year after my accident. I have also been blessed to have more children. My accident taught me that life is so precious. I am so thankful to be alive to share life with my husband and my children. I try to make every day special, even the little day to day activities because you never know how many memories you will be able to make together.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the main reasons I am a Mormon is because the church teaches me about the eternal nature of families, and provides the way to seal families together for eternity. When I was four months along with my second child I found out that he had multiple birth defects and that he would not be able to live but a few minutes after he was born. After prayer and talking with my family I decided against inducing labor right away and I carried my son until I was about seven and a half months along. At that time, I went into labor early and my son passed away just a few minutes after birth, but because of the knowledge I gained from going to church about the continuation of the family after this life is over, I was able to be comforted and feel at peace.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the secretary of the Relief Society in my ward. The Relief Society is the largest woman's organization in the world. It's purposes are to increase faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and seek out and help those in need. I try to serve as Jesus Christ did. I try to pray each day to feel prompted of who I can help serve, whether it be neighbors, friends, my children, my husband, etc, It doesn't matter if they are members of my church or not. I know that when I serve others, I serve God.

What is a ward/stake/branch?
