Hi I'm Brian

I love basketball, I am an engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an engineer from CA. I have a wonderful wife and a beautiful new daughter. I served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Tampa, FL from 2003-2005.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon initially because my parents raised me as a Mormon. As I got older I wanted to find out for myself if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was true. I read the Book of Mormon and followed the promise that was given in it. The promise says that if you read the Book of Mormon and pray about it's validity then God will give you an answer. So that is what I did, I prayed and received an answer from the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true. Because the Book of Mormon is true, I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and all things that he prophesied are true. I also know that all subsequent prophets were true prophets. And I know that Thomas S Monson is a true prophet. I know this not only because I know the Book of Mormon is true but by the power of the Holy Ghost and by all the things that they have done. I am a Mormon because I want to return to live with my Heavenly Father and this Church has the principles and authority to help me do that. Also I am a Mormon because of Jesus Christ, I want to follow him and this is His restored church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every week, there I am able to renew my covenants that I made at baptism and also learn about Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father's Plan. Also at church I get to teach different lessons for our men's group, these lessons are focused on all aspects of life and Jesus Christ and his teachings. I also live my faith by helping the full time missionaries out in any capacity that I can. I also live my faith by spending time with my family, praying, reading scriptures and having family night.
