Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a music teacher, producer of the musical troupe"The Show Stoppers" wife to my wonderful husband & I'm a mormon

About Me

I was born in Littleton Colorado, but lived in Florida for most of my life. I grew up in a small town called Reddick, I loved living in the country by all the beautiful horse farms.Growing up in the South there are 2 things you have to love Food and Football! and I love both! My family and I are converts to the church. My dad worked with a lady who was Mormon and through her and her wonderful family we became interested in the Gospel. After many discussions with the missionaries, reading the Book Of Mormon, pondering, and praying about, it we decided to join the church. A few short years after joining the church I was called to be my wards organist (mind you I could hardly play the piano and I was only 11 years old) I was the ward organist and choir pianist for 8 years till I got married and moved away. Shortly after getting engaged to my wonderful husband I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymn Disease. I have gone through several months of treatment and will continue to do so off and on for the rest of my life. My husband and I were married in September 2010 in the Orlando Florida Temple for time and all eternity. I am very grateful to have such a strong companion who stands by me through the thick and thin. We look forward to one day having a family of our own. I am currently a music teacher and producer of the upcoming musical troupe called " The Show Stoppers" I am also working towards receiving my Elite License with ISSA.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 13 years old I was going through a tough time mentally, physically, and spiritually. The church offers a week long youth conference called EFY. I was able to attend that conference that year. During one of the classes at the end of the week, the teacher asked us to privately ponder this question " Why are you Mormon" As I sat there and asked myself why am I Mormon? it hit me. I am a Mormon because I have felt the promptings of the Holy Ghost testifying to me that the church is true. I have read the Book Of Mormon and the Bible and have had that sweet feeling of peace letting me know that it is true. When I listen to the Prophet and Apostles speak I again get that same sweet reassuring feeling that we truly do have living Prophets and Apostles on the earth today. I have prayed and pondered these things for several years and still to this day have that sweet feeling of peace and comfort that this Gospel is true. Through becoming Mormon I have gained a personal testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ. I love him and He loves me. He knows me personally and died on the cross for me and my sins. He provided the way for me to repent and be made clean. I know that when I keep the commandments and follow Gospel principles, search, ponder, and pray, I am given guidance, peace, comfort, and purpose. I love being Mormon! It brings such joy, peace, and happiness into my life. I don't know where I would be without this Gospel. And that is why I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these, ye have done it unto me, Matt. 25:35–45 I believe that when you serve others you are serving the Lord. When I sacrifice my personal wants and desires too serve others I always feel happy and joyful. I love serving in the church but I also love serving my community. For example, my old ward painted all the fire hydrants in the Williston FL area to help a young man become an Eagle Scout. Our youth group made a huge impact on that community through that project. In the church I get many opportunities to share the talents I've been blessed with, by playing the piano and singing. The church has so many beautiful songs and hymns. I enjoy going to nursing homes and playing/ singing for the elderly, and visiting the older people in my ward. Through the songs I sing and play I can express my feelings, and share my Testimony, and I just love that!
