Hi I'm Jake

I am an avid Facebook fan and an obsessive reader. I love horror movies, video games and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a happily married father of 4 boys. I served an LDS mission in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, and the country and the Carioca people still have a special place in my heart. Between my family, church, work, and various hobbies, I'm always busy and that is just how I like it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the religion, but I developed a real belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ in my late teens. The aspects of my church that speak to me the most is the voluntary service and sacrifice, along with the focus on personal revelation. These, along with the doctrine of daily personal growth until we can return to live with our Heavenly Father helps me on a daily basis.

How I live my faith

It is important to me to live my religion daily in a way that everyone who knows me, knows I am a member of Christ's church. I don't hand out Book of Mormons or push the missionaries on people, but I do find myself in several conversations each week where I am able to share my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ with family, friends and co-workers. I am sincerely trying to be a better person today than I was yesterday.
