Do you want to chat with a missionary?

We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Start a chat or call us at 1-888-537-6600.

Hi I'm Sean.

I'm from California. Musician. Gamer. Scuba diver. And yeah, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I play the saxophone and the piano. I also love to read books and to play sports with my friends, mostly basketball. I love to make and edit movies, because I really enjoy being creative. I love being an older brother to my siblings, and I love my family very much. I'm grateful for the chance I have now to be a missionary in Boston Massachussetts and to share my love of Jesus Christ with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have seen the gospel bring happiness to my life and my family's life. I've seen how the gospel has helped others find that happiness as well. I know that the Book of Mormon is true because I read and prayed about it myself, and I got my answer. I know that Heavenly Father lives, and loves each and every one of us, and wants us all to come back and live with Him someday. I love the gospel because it helps me have the faith and hope to get through the rough times of life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example of the things we believe. I try and do the things that Jesus would want me to do if He was in my place. I love to serve others because it makes me happy helping other people out, and serving in the community is awesome! Seeing the direct impact of good choices is really rewarding, and makes me just want to keep doing more and trying to be a better person.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Sean.
We believe that God is there, and that He has a perfected body of flesh and bone. We believe that He is the Father of our spirits, and loves and knows each and every one of us by name. We have a very real relationship with HIm, and He wants us to talk with him through prayer. We also believe that He is perfect in every way, and his goal is to help us become like HIm and return to live with Him someday. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Sean.
No one is required to serve a mission. No one is required to do anything in the Church, it's all done by volunteer work and service. Those of us that are around the age where they can serve missions are encouraged to live worthy enough to be a missionary, and are encouraged to serve missions because it is a wonderful experience and a chance to meet new people, cultures, and share the gospel with others, but no one is required to do so. It's something that we should want to do because we love Heavenly Father and want to serve Him. Show more Show less
