Hi I'm Jim

I love to hike and enjoy the outdoors. Gardening is my favorite hobby, I even keep bees. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The greatest joy in my life is my bride. Next to her are my grandchildren.. We love to camp, hike, be in the outdoors and be with our grandchildren. When our fourth son was a senior in High School we adopted three children from the same family, two boys and a girl. They were 15, 13 and 10. This was both a challenge and blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was not born a Mormon. At the age of 13 I learned about the Mormon Church and beliefs. One of the most important things I learned was that God continues to reveal his will to prophets. Plus, I did not have to blindly follow what someone else said about it but I could receive my own answer about the reality of God and His Church. What I experienced as a 13 year old boy has continued throughout my life. As a young man I continued to learn about God's dealings through the scriptures and how people responded anciently similarly to today. As a husband and father I faced many challenges which required me to seek guidance from Heavenly Father and He was always there to guide me. I am a Mormon because as I study about and pray to God the Father, He answers my prayers with guidance that is both helpful and correct. I know that what I am doing is right and pleasing to Him.

How I live my faith

Serving others provides the best opportunities to life my faith. When asked to teach a class or clean the chapel I am willing to pitch in and serve. Treating everyone as a valuable child of God is another way to live my faith and I do my best to see all as valuable child of God.
