Hi I'm Paul

I am a Chicago Cubs fan. I am a Democrat. I am a college professor. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in California. I was educated in the law. Almost twenty years ago I left the practice of law to become a full time college teacher. I absolutely love teaching. It is so incredibly rewarding! In 1995 I moved my family across country to take a position in Illinois. Here I became an avid Chicago Cubs fan. I love baseball. It is the best game ever invented! I have been happily married for 40 years. We have four children, living with their families in Idaho and Arizona, and eleven grandchildren, whom we love to spoil whenever we get the chance. The most important thing in my life is, however, my membership in the Church. It brings me tremendous joy to know that because of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ my family will be with me forever.

Why I am a Mormon

Through the restored gospel I can have my family with me forever. I also love the Book of Mormon. I have read it over and over again and each time I come to a greater knowledge of the reality and divinity of Jesus Christ. I also find tremendous comfort in the knowledge that, in these difficult times, there is a prophet chosen by God to lead us.

How I live my faith

I try very hard to keep the commandments of God. I am currently serving in the Sunday School. I also serve as a temple worker in the Chicago temple.

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Paul
No. The Church does not endorse any political parties or individual candidates. Thus, I am free to examine the issues and the candidates in any election and to support those that I, in good conscience, believe will be best for our country. Show more Show less
