Hi I'm Nan

I'm a jack of all trades! I'm a mother, and wife of a truck driver! And own our own company. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am The Mother of 4 beautifull children. I am a wife, truck driver, cosmetologist, school bus driver, homemaker and sometimes mediator. Two of my children are serving missions. We still have our problems but love to do things together! We snowmachine, cruise, follow our kids to all their various activities and love to go see professional baseball games!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life but was not very active. It wasn't untill after the birth of my first child that I realy started looking for something more! I was worried about what would happen if my baby died! I knew if I wanted to be together forever with my family I needed to change some things in my life. I knew there had to be more than just dust to dust! I recieved a special blessing and started to do the things I needed to prepare to go to the Temple and be sealed as a family forever. It still took me 6 years to get there and my husband didn't follow me until 3 months later! But now we will be together forever if we continue to do the right things! That is what I have faith in. "FOREVER"

How I live my faith

My favorite thing in life is my family! I want to help all the Young Women to become strong, faithfull women of God! I work with girls ages 12-18. I love teaching them something new! We have special activity nights once a week where we can just go have fun or sometime we do more spiritual things. We also try to do service for others when there is a need in our area. We work together as a group or seperate into smaller groups by age. I also love to help our with their sports. In our area the church provides volleyball, basketball and softball for the youth to participate in! I love it!

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Nan
This i a way of showing obediance and gratitude. Our Father in Heaven has created this earth and everthing in it for our benefit. It is very similar to the sacrifice's made in the bible. They made sacrifice of livestock. That was how many of them made their living. In the same way we sacrifice some of our earnings. These offerings help the church to run the many programs within it. It is also asked of us and we have faith that our sacrifice will bring us blessings in our lives. I know in the past it has been hard for us to make ends meet but my husband insists we pay the tithing first! Things have been tight at times but the Lord provides a way for good to come to us!
