Hi I'm Jena

I am a proud wife, a mother of 2 handsome boys and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am a 25 year old mom of 2 great boys. Our boys are only 11 1/2 months apart, so my life revolves around reading books, playing "chase", watching "The Backyardigans", and all the other things that moms do. My husband and I have been married for nearly 5 years now and are trying our best to raise our boys to be happy, righteous, patriotic young men. I love to run/work out, read (the list of good books is never-ending), go on dates with my husband, find creative things to do with my kids, listen to good music, blog, and sing.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a Mormon is really quite simple. The teachings and principles of the Mormon faith make sense. Everything we do and everything we believe in is there to make us happy, and to protect us spiritually (and physically). I am a Mormon because I know the teachings are true! I am sealed to my family for time and all eternity, not just 'till death do us part. The gospel brings me true happiness, it gives me perspective, and makes me a better person. I feel close to my Savior and my Father in Heaven because of this church. I have the companionship of the Holy Ghost, which helps me feel peace about tough choices or changes in life- it gives guidance and direction. I am grateful to be a Mormon. I know that this church is true.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a constant thing. It is always in my heart and mind, guiding me throughout my day. I pray every morning and night and try to make these prayers as sincere as possible. While those are the times of day that I say the longest prayers I am always calling upon my Father in Heaven throughout the day- asking for help, for patience, for guidance, giving thanks, and asking what His will for me and my family are. I make reading the scriptures (Bible, Book of Mormon, or church magazines) a part of my daily routine. We go to church every Sunday, give service throughout the week and pray as a family every morning and night. We worship in Temples and find peace and solace there. Like I said before, living the gospel is a part of me constantly and I am so grateful for it.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Jena
The more we learn about or Savior the greater our understanding of who He is and what His mission is all about. It's just like anything else- if you lack knowledge is something you study that topic until you have found your answer. To build our faith in Christ we must study the scriptures which tell of His life, His ministry, and His desires and love for us. Pray sincerely and you will feel Him in your life. Look for the good in the very simple things in life and you will find and feel your faith in Jesus Christ grow. Show more Show less
