Hi I'm Adam

I'm a Mormon who fights a relentless war against his own unibrow. It's a tireless job, but someone has to do it.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father. I know the greatest joy in life comes from making other lives better and happier. I also answer questions about my religion all the time, so feel free to ask.

Why I am a Mormon

It just makes sense. You can feel the Holy Ghost quietly testify that the answers to life's questions provided by this gospel are true. I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that there is a prophet on this earth today that can help guide us to become more like Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I like to go to the temple and ponder about God while participating in ordinances for people who have died without a knowledge of Jesus and His gospel. I also like to work with teenagers who are struggling with whether or not to give into the pressures they get from friends or peers at school. I like to share with them the teachings of Jesus that help them be happy no matter where they live.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Adam
Eternal life always has, always does, and always will begin with Jesus Christ. When someone has REAL faith in Jesus Christ it is manifest in the choices they make each day. Real faith in Christ leads to a desire to become more like Christ. In other words, faith leads to repentance - it leads to change. Changing one's life is done one small decision at a time. As we become kinder, more patient, more charitable, we feel the Holy Spirit more in our life. As we continue to make righteous choices, the Holy Spirit instills in us the desire to make promises to God. These inward promises are represented by outward ordinances like baptism. Once we have participated in all of God's ordinances beginning with baptism, and have truly done the very best we can, Jesus Christ extends His mercy and His grace, and offers us eternal life: the chance to live forever in God's presence. This is the greatest of all the gifts of God. Eternal life is not earned - it is freely given by Jesus Christ to those who sincerely seek to do God's will: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." - Matthew 7:21 Show more Show less
