Hi I'm Jeannine

I've been a Mormon most of my life.

About Me

I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and a grandmother. I love music, theatre, dance, sewing, needle arts, and working with computers, and I'm passionate about family history research. I've been self-employed nearly my whole adult life and currently enjoy working with medical professionals.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of my membership in the Church, I have received countless blessings throughout my life. I love the simplicity of the Gospel message, and the way of life that has been afforded me because of my commitment to the standards I have been taught. I find peace in the knowledge that I have gained throughout my life, particularly with respect to the eternal nature of our families. I know God lives, I know He loves me. I know that His Son, Jesus Christ, died for me that I may live with Him again. The Spirit has witnessed to me that the principles taught within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are true. God continues to speak with men on earth. I have seen fulfilment of promises made as a result of obedience to His laws. I love the Lord and I love being a member of His Church.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in our local congregation and have served in a wide variety of areas including secretary to our women's organization, Sunday School teacher (varying ages from 10-adult), music director for the children group, our women's organization, and the entire congregation, and currently serve as the choir director for our amazing ward choir. I also serve as a Family History Consultant and assist members and non-members of the Church to trace their ancestry. In our community, I have served on the Board of Directors for a local community choir and also for a ballroom dance society. In all of my activities, I strive to reflect my love of Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jeannine
Yes! I really do! I believe that God is as concerned about His children just as much now as in ancient times. I am grateful that He continues to guide us through a living prophet - with messages and warnings that are specific to our times. Just as in days of old, the prophet's voice is one of warning and I have come to know for myself that we will be protected as we face many of the evils that are rampant in the world today, if we heed his teachings. I love that when I am concerned or worried about a specific problem, I can find comfort and/or reassurance in the kind and encouraging words of wisdom spoken by God's chosen representative on the earth. Often times I have felt that the counsel of the prophet has been so incredibly personal to me that I have wondered how he could possibly know of my concerns! Ultimately, this has helped to build my testimony of the truthfulness of God's love for me, His daughter. Show more Show less
