Hi I'm John C.

I'm a Mormon convert from the time I was 16 years old.

About Me

I have a lovely wife, three beautiful daughters and three cute grandchildren. I graduated from college and love bicycling and soccer.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young man, I was searching for religion and attending different churches when I learned about the Mormons. I was very skeptical when I took the discussions from full-time and stake missionaries in my home town. After I prayed for guidance from God, I gained a personal testimony of prophets, Joseph Smith Jr. and the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve as the High Priests Group Leader in my ward and love to do missionary work. I really like doing service projects in my ward and community. I am also learning more about family history and genealogy and I like to go to the temple as often as I can.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

John C.
Mormon missionaries are not allowed to work while on their missions. For example, I served a mission to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at age 19. I worked before I left to earn enough money to buy all of the clothing, and most of the supplies, I would need for two years. I was also supported partially by my parents, who were not members of the Mormon church, as well as by the members of my LDS home ward. Missionaries learn to live on a budget. Show more Show less
