Hi I'm B. Buergey

I'm a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was born and raised in Southern California.

About Me

I'm just me :)

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't always a member of the Church. I was baptized by my uncle when I was 9. My faith was decent and I was an average member of the church for several years. By the time I was 17, I had stopped going to Church altogether. Soon, life (and teenage immaturity) got the better of me and I started making some really bad choices. For decency's sake, I can't go into very much detail on here, but my life was chaotic, dangerous and aimless. I'm certain our Heavenly Father was saddened to see me suffering over my own choices so much, but everything we go through can be turned into a positive lesson if we have the maturity and humility to learn from our mistakes and others. I learned the hard way that, while faith is our friend, pride is our enemy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time, every single day. I've been reminded many time throughout my life not to take my faith, or God, for granted. I learned through my own mistakes that you get your strength through your faith, and that sometimes you have to realize that you're not as strong as you think you are. Humility and open-mindedness are the building blocks of faith and a strong, close personal relationship with our Heavenly Father, or anyone else for that matter. I know more now than I knew before, and (God willing), someday I'll know much more than I know now.
