Hi I'm Michael Allen H.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as a Web Developer in Dallas Texas. I graduated in 2009 with a degree in Japanese Translation from Brigham Young University. My wife and I are raising a beautiful baby girl who was born right before we graduated college. Cross Country Running and Gymnastics are my favorite sports. I've been running since Elementary School. Though my gymnastics experience is very short, I really enjoyed the rings and parallel bars.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is atheist. When I was in High School, I was impressed by the actions of faithful latter-day saints in my school. I was asked by one of them to come to church. At the time, I was searching out Christianity and was happy to go to a church where I felt the members were exceptional people. I spent most of my first months in the church overwhelmed with the fact that I liked the church teachings and church members. It wasn't until after I was baptized and I decided to read the entire Book of Mormon that I realized the Holy Spirit was telling me it was the true church. I had never understood the Holy Spirit before. I have had many experiences where the Spirit of God testified to me that the Book of Mormon was true and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church on this earth.

How I live my faith

It's not what happens to us in life, but how we choose to live that defines us. God as our loving Father wishes us to do our best to be like Him. So I try to surround myself with opportunities to learn, grow, and serve others. My wife and I take raising our daughter very seriously and do everything we can to put her future first. We carry food with us in case we find needy people on our path. Exercise, healthy eating, positive attitudes, and reading the word of the Lord are things that we are striving to incorporate into our daily lives.

Are Mormons Christians?

Michael Allen H.
Very much so. We believe that Jesus Christ suffered for our transgressions individually. I know that Christ knows me and my actions. I have deep knowledge that the Atonement of Christ is available to anyone who is willing to repent. I know this because of the many times I have had to repent of wrong doing. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants nothing more than for us to enjoy eternal life with Him. Show more Show less
