Hi I'm Kevin Thomas

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 22 years old. I have just returned from serving a full-time Mission for the Church in Fukuoka, Japan. Right now, Im going attending college and studying Game design. I like Drawing, playing Piano and Guitar, Cooking, Fashion, Film and Cycling.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this Church, however that doesn't mean I automatically went with everything. I had questions and thoughts about what was true, and wanted to find answers. I desired to know what was best for my life. After doing some soul-searching and figuring out what I really wanted for myself, as well as what God wanted for me, and my future family, I decided to see if the promise in Moroni 104-5 was real. And since Ive found the truth, I'm going to follow it to the best of my ability. Sometimes its hard to not feel "Burnt-out" Or that not going to church would be the easier option. I have always found that doing the right thing, despite it seeming hard at the beginning, Is always worth whatever we go through at the end. Contrary to what some people may believe, the Gospel and standards of the Church help me live my Life as best I can.

How I live my faith

Right now, I serve as an Assistant Clerk in my Ward. I help with the sacred funds know as "tithing". The tithing is used for many things including, running church services, the community we live in, and helping those in need. I also teach a group of people that are my age 18-29 about the Gospel. This is a good and fun chance to see how other people my age feel about life, and church.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Kevin Thomas
We live the same as everyone else. We have jobs, families, go to school, have hobbies, clubs... However, we live what we believe Heavenly Father has asked us to do. In other words, obeying his commandments. I guess to some people it seems strict or overbearing, but in reality, the commandments are to be applied to our lives. They enhance our capability and actually make it easier to live.  Show more Show less
