Hi I'm Jeremy Max

I am a college student. I have a wife, and a little boy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending law school. It seems that besides my family and my church activities, that is about all I do :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of Mormons. When I was a teenager I decided I wanted to know if God was really there, and if the things I was taught in my family and church were really true. So I decided to read the Book of Mormon and pray and ask God if the things I had learned were true. I felt in my heart then and many times since that this is Jesus Christ's true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to very open with others about the fact that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sharing my beliefs and trying to help understand more about my church is really important to me.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Jeremy Max
The Church believes that “All human beings—male and female—are created in the image of God. Each is a beloved spirit son or daughter of heavenly parents, and, as such, each has a divine nature and destiny. Gender is an essential characteristic of individual premortal, mortal, and eternal identity and purpose." (Proclamation to the World) Marriage between a man and a woman is central to our Heavenly Father's plan for our happiness. It is through the sacred gift of sexual intimacy that a man and a woman can bring one of our Heavenly Father's children into this world. Any sexual relations outside of marriage between a man and a woman are not acceptable to God. We believe in doing all that we can in protecting and fostering a society in which God's plan is facilitated. Same sex marriage, homosexual activity, and heterosexual activity outside of marriage are in contrast to God's plan for our happiness, and therefore things that the Church is opposed to. We also believe in being kind and respectful to all, and showing love to all of God's children. While certain behavior's are not acceptable, it doesn't mean that the people are unacceptable.
