Hi I'm Bruce

I'm a grandpa, a general contractor, and an elk hunter! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love time with my wife and our family! We enjoy being together, working, learning, camping, Disneyland, and sharing the wonders of this beautiful world together. I have wanted to be a dad from the time I was a young man, and I can't think of a more enjoyable blessing than the gift of family. After applying for 16 years, this year I succeeded in drawing my first bull elk tag. I had a great hunt and was able to harvest a trophy of a lifetime.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to church, it was what our family always does. I have Mormon pioneer roots on both my mom's family and my dad's family. As a teenager I started questioning why, and I told my dad that I was tired of going to church. His response was simple and straight to the point, he said "well then it's time for you to find out for yourself that the church is true". That made sense to me, so for the next few weeks I read the Book of Mormon myself for the first time. When I finished I prayed about it and felt the witness that it is the word of God, and is true! That was the answer I needed and it made all the difference in my life.

How I live my faith

The church teaches us to help one another, to share one another's burdens. We try to be the kind of neighbors we want to have, and watch out for each other. Sometimes there is a roof to fix, an escaped pet to rescue, or mail to pick up when a neighbor is out of town, and it's always nice to have a friendly smile. Building friendships is an important part of our lives and it brings rich blessings to us, we have friends and neighbors who really help us be better people! We are so thankful for that!
