Hi I'm Bruce

I work with computers and am in the Air Force Reserves. I am a Father of 3 girls and a husband to a beautiful wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

At the age of six I was in a gasoline fire and received 3rd degree burns on 45% of my body. I was told I would not walk again and if I did it would not be normal. My father administered to me and I was the fastest runner up to the sixth grade. I will never forget how my mother stayed with me at the hospital and would read to me. Later in life I became an Eagle Scout, this would not have been possible without the support and encouragement of so many great leaders as I grew up. After graduating high school I started college and then went on a mission. After my mission I married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple for time and all eternity. About two years later we had our first child, a beautiful little girl. I joined the United States Air Force. I left my little family to go to Basic Military Training. I finished as an Honor Graduate and was also voted Most Outstanding Airman by my peers which was an even greater recognition. I believe some of the experiences and things learned on my mission helped me accomplish this as well. During that time we had two more very special daughters and spent some time overseas. My upbringing and life have given me a very strong sense of love and patriotism for the country I was blessed to be born in. I now serve in the Air Force Reserves as a Technical Sergeant. I enjoy canoeing, dancing, and music. My name is Bruce Olson, I am a husband, a father, a computer tech, an Airman, a drummer, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to be a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life. My parents were members of the church as well as many of my ancestors, several of whom were pioneers.

How I live my faith

Through the years I have served in many different callings in the church and I currently serve. I love the Gospel and the insight and perspective it gives us to this life. It really makes a difference in an ever changing world to have guidance from a living prophet.
