Hi I'm Kade

I enjoy woodworking, am a Court Administrator, and love being a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a husband and a father of three. I come from a multi-faith based family and am the fourth of seven children, including all of my step and half siblings. While my family is not completely LDS, it is the predominant religion of my family and I was raised in the Church. I struggled for many years to get myself through college, including graduate school, and recently finished and accepted a job which took my little family across the country. My wife works as a full-time mother and is amazing at it. I'm grateful for my job, enjoy working on my house, and my family always comes first.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised as a Latter-Day Saint, that is not the reason I am a member of this church. Much of my family is either non-practicing or members of another faith entirely. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and believe that truth is a constant. Some people have magnificent conversion stories beginning with extrodinary events. Mine is a simple one; God is not the author of confusion and the truth of the restored gospel has always been clear to me. That is not to say that I haven't had spiritual confirmations, far from it, but my conversion story is one which has been built and added upon my entire life. For me, there was not a single moment of revealed truth, but rather a lifetime of spiritual experiences being added upon me. I am a Mormon, because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to be the restored, everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ upon the Earth again complete with latter-day Prophets, personal revelation, and the Holy Priesthood of God.

How I live my faith

My wife and I both serve in our local ward and community. We strive to emulate the Savior in all that we do. We have three small children that we constantly play with and teach. We dedicate every Monday night to our growing family and have little programs wherein we sing songs, play games, read scriptures, and overall just spend time together. Multiple nights a week are dedicated to serving in our respective callings and taking turns playing with our 3 kids. We have set aside Friday nights as date nights, which usually end up with pizza, a rented movie, and some unhealthy, but delicious, ice cream. We strive to keep Sundays sacred and do not purchase items or go to stores unless we cannot avoid doing so. We spend those days playing and resting as a family. Living in the Lord's way requires more than an hour a week, it is a lifestyle. I have found great satisfaction and deep joy in the Church and know of a surety that my Heavenly Father knows and loves me and my little family.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Kade
The Holy Bible is simply the compiled writings of Prophets who lived and served in and around Jerusalem and testify of the divinity of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is also the compiled writings of Prophets testifying of Jesus Christ, but these Prophets lived on the American Continent. The record of the Book of Mormon begins at approximately 600 years before Christ and concludes approximately 420 years after Christ. The Book of Mormon does not replace the Bible, but rather upholds it. Within the Book of Mormon are the recorded experiences of the ancient inhabitants of the American Continent and the dealings they had with God. The crowning event of the Book of Mormon is a record of when Jesus Christ himself descended upon the American Continent after his death and resurrection in Israel. Show more Show less
