Hi I'm Bob

I'm kitchen designer, a songwriter, and a family man. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, my family is everything to me! I’m been married almost 25 years, and my wife is my dearest friend, and the coolest person I know! We have two sons and two daughters, who are also amazing. We’re not a perfect family—we get on each others’ nerves sometimes—but I can honestly say the happiest times of my life are connected to my family. At work I’m a kitchen designer, and like most of us, my job can be challenging and stressful. But it can also be very rewarding. I love creating something that is functional, beautiful, and lasting—a place in a home where families can be together. Aside from my family, my greatest love is music. I wasn’t born with any extraordinary musical talents, but I did come into this world with a passion for music. Music has such power to lift and inspire! I can’t really explain it, but from time to time songs of my own well up inside of me. With a little coaxing, I help them take shape, and infuse them with a life of their own. When I write songs, they are often interlaced with my deepest beliefs. My hope is they not only touch the heart, but also turn the heart to God.

Why I am a Mormon

I try to live my faith everyday! Not because I have to, but because I want to. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and so i choose to follow him the best I can. It's my way of saying thank you for the great blessings in my life. I have chosen the Mormon faith because within it I have found answers to life's greatest questions. I have found saving ordinances and covenants. I have found God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. I have found truth. I have found joy!

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon gives me lots of opportunities to serve others. One way I do that is by working with several Mormon youth groups in my community. I help plan youth conferences, service projects, and other activities. In addition, I try to live my faith in my home by having family scripture study every day. Once a week we have family night where we teach each other the gospel, talk about our lives, sing together, and play games together.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Bob
Grace is the wonderous power of Jesus to save and redeem. Grace is the divine help that causes us to change, to become better, more like Jesus is. Because all of us make mistakes in this life we all need rescuing. And because Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins he is the one qualified to do the rescuing. In return he asks us to exercise faith in him, repent of our sins, come to him through baptism, and serve him all our days. Our efforts don't repay him for his gift of grace. They are how we take advantage of his gift. They are how we say "thank you" for the gift. I am so grateful for Jesus' amazing grace! I love my Savior! Show more Show less
