Hi I'm Gordon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father and grandfather with wonderful family members. During the day I practice law from a home base in the Pacific Northwest. I love the outdoors and spending time with friends. I love doing jigsaw puzzles and traveling to new places.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at age eight after being taught the truths of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ by wonderful parents and teachers. As a youth I tested the promise found at the end of the Book of Mormon to read that book, ponder and pray to know whether it and the story of Joseph Smith concerning the restoration of the fulness of the gospel was true. I found that it is for myself and have done my best to live consistent with that knowledge ever since. I am continually refreshed in my beliefs of the truths found in the Church through my service to others in it, through my study of the scriptures and prayer, and by my service in the temple we are privileged to have close by.

How I live my faith

Every day my faith influences my life. We have a long tradition in our home of spending each Monday evening together singing, talking about spiritual things, and enjoying a fun activity and then having a treat together. We read the scriptures and pray both individually and with one another regularly. I have really enjoyed spending a lot of time over the years working with youth in Boy Scouting and with adults and families in counseling settings.

Are Mormons Christians?

Gordon
Absolutely! When we are baptized we make certain promises. They are to take upon ourselves the name of Christ (in otherwords to be a Christian - to become part of the family of Christ), to always remember Him and to keep his Commandments. We worship Jesus Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. He is the central focus of our lives, our worship and our meetings. Show more Show less
