Hi I'm Caitlyn

I'm a student, I'm a country girl, I love camping, and dis-like shopping, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in small town. I am one of five children, all girls except for the youngest. That means my dad needed a pal to do guy stuff with until my brother came along. This greatly explains my favorite hobbies which are hunting, hiking, camping, fishing basically anything that gets me into those mountains. I truly feel that being out in the world Heavenly Father created in its' truest forms is one of the most peaceful environments where we can feel of his love and listen to the spirit without all the distractions of the world. I LOVE music, it touches the heart in many ways words cannot. And I love cooking and baking, I grew up with cooking lessons from mom's counter. I am a newly-wed to a sweet husband, and let me tell you, the honeymoon phase is real, and it is real fun! We are attending college currently and are loving it here. I am attempting a dual-major in Elementary and Special Education. Wish me luck! I have worked multiple jobs from being a scale-house worker, to nanny, to physical therapy technician. You may call me well-rounded, but I just consider it college incentive!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, and I chose to be baptized as a member of the church when I was eight years old. I still remember that special day, I remember my parents talking to me about my decision and making sure I knew how important it was that I find out for myself if being baptized was right for me. My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ has continued to grow over the years as I experience new trials and am continually strengthened by God's love. My testimony was never gained through a singular event, but has been a continuing process as I recognize the blessings of keeping the commandments of Heavenly Father. As I live the principles and standards of the gospel, my burdens seem lighter and easier to bear. Because I faithfully pay my tithing, money seems just a little less tight, and I always seem to make it. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father, and I want to live by his teachings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving! That's one of the best parts about being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, it is based upon the best principle: love! We are given many opportunities to serve. Ever since I was young I have had musical callings in the church. I played the organ when I was about sixteen years old to accompany the congregation, accompanied musical numbers and played the piano for all kinds of meetings. I love how music is incorporated into our meetings and into our lives. It is so uplifting, brings so much happiness, and helps me be enlightened by the spirit. I have had opportunities to teach little children about their Father in Heaven and his love, and their sweet spirits are so precious. It often feels like their understanding of love and charity is more pure than many adults!! My favorite way of living my faith is by sharing it with others. There are many misconceptions and questions about Mormons, and it is great to help people come to and understanding, and most of all I love the friendship opportunities that come as I live by the gospel standards.
