Hi I'm LaMont

I'm a 6th generation Arizonan. I am a father of 6, a Spanish interpreter, and a high school teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of six and a grandfather of one. I have been married for over 25 years. I am a high school teacher and medical interpreter. I have a bachelor of arts in secondary education and three masters degrees. I love to garden and travel with my family. I am an Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a sixth-generation member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know for myself that the teachings of the Church bring me closer to my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Chirst. I learned this by reading the Book of Mormon, praying to know of it's truth, and living my life according to the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It makes me happy, gives me strength and the desire to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I know that the best I can do to show my Heavenly Father my faith is to live as I know He would want me to. I have served in many roles in the Church. I have taught the children preparing for baptism, the youth, and participated in several leadership roles in our local congregation. Each responsibility has helped me to understand how important each of our Heavenly Father's children are to Him, and the responsibility I have to help care for His children. I have been blessed, protected, and lead to be more like Him by following His commandments and keeping my covenants to Him!
