Hi I'm Leslie

I'm a technologist, a Coloradoan, a wannabee politican and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an 8th and 7th Generation member of the LDS Church, although my family history is steeped in LDS Church History I have had to find my own path to a testimony of the LDS Church. I have a Masters Degree in Technology and Public Policy Management from a private school, and am a Global Account Manager for a international IT firm. I value my education, my career, my family and of course my Church not necessarily in that order. :

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because it is what my family 'does' but also because I have gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on my own. I value the comfort that this testimony brings to me on a daily basis and am blessed to call myself a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have had the blessing of working in a variety of ways in the LDS Church, playing the piano and leading music when I was a teenager to selling corn for the Church farm on the side of the road in Colorado. Since adulthood I have had many opportunities to serve fellow members of the Church, including children, youth, as well as the adult members of my Ward. I have learned through these wonderful experiences the power of showing love through serving Heavenly Father's children.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Leslie
We believe that we live after our physical bodies die. I lost my own sister in a tragic car accident in 1999, understanding and having faith that we would see Karen again sustained us during th is difficult time, and it sustains us to this day. Show more Show less

What is the First Vision?

Leslie
In the Spring of 1820 Joseph Smith, a 14 year old boy went to a grove in trees near his home in Palmyra, NY, USA and offered the simple plea in prayre regarding which of all of the Churches he should join. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him that the true Church as organized when Jesus was on the earth didn't exist on he earth currently. Through a series of revelations this Vision became the first event that restored Jesus' true Church on the earth. Show more Show less
