Hi I'm Amy Brooke

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in 1980 in Ohio, but I've grown up in Louisiana. I graduated in Fitness and Wellness Management. I served a mission for the church in Uruguay, South America from 2002 to 2004. I got married in 2005 and started teaching school. I now have 3 children ages 5,2, and 11 months. I love to be active. I play on a tennis team, teach aerobics, and my new love is teaching zumba. I love being with my family and going to church together.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I've grown up in the church, but I gained my own personal testimony of it. I don't go for my parents or anyone else but for myself and the Lord. This religion is one of sacrifice but of great eternal blessings. I know that it's true because I have studied, pondered, and prayed about it. I have read the Book of Mormon numerous times and know that it's true through the power of the Holy Ghost. It brings me so much happiness and peace, it answers so many questions, and brings me closer to Christ. The church and gospel of Christ mean everything to me. I know that my family can be together forever through this restored gospel. I know that we have a living Prophet. I know that Joseph Smith was called to be a Prophet. I continue to follow because I know it's right and I know I'm being blessed through it. I learn so much all the time and my faith is strengthened by reading the scriptures, serving, and obeying the commandments.

How I live my faith

My husband and I teach the 4 and 5 year olds in Primary (the children's organization). I love teaching the children about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I visit teach great women in the ward and have created wonderful friendships with them.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Amy Brooke
The Holy Ghost is the third member of the Godhead. The Godhead includes God - Our Father in Heaven, Jesus Christ - His Son, and The Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the comforter and testifies of Christ and His gospel. It brings us feelings of peace, joy, happiness, and love. Show more Show less
