Hi I'm Stephen

I live in Alabama. I'm an attorney, I like guitar, water skiing, snow skiing, dirt biking and video games.

About Me

I have 5 wonderful children. I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world. Family time is my favorite time of life. I was an exchange student in Germany for my junior year of high school and a missionary in Finland for two years. I speak German and Finnish.

Why I am a Mormon

I was an exchange student in Germany for my junior year of high school. I always went to church with my family growing up, but my host family did not go to my church. My friends in school were doing things I had been taught to avoid. While in Germany, I would ride my bike to church each Sunday by myself, and it all became very difficult for me to do alone. One Sunday I decided I would not go to church anymore unless I knew it was true. I was not going to go through the challenge of being alone and different if it did not make a difference either way. I also promised myself I would do my very best to live the teachings of the church if I received an answer that it was true. I began reading the scriptures every day and specifically praying to know if the church was true. Over the next few weeks I received the answer many times that the church was true. Most of it was a comfort and peace that I had been looking for, so when I felt it I recognized it. There are so many comforts that come from understanding our role here on the earth. The purpose, guidance, and directions is fulfilling.

How I live my faith

The scriptures say our joy will be great if we help others find the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Knowing that I have a Savior that loves me means everything to me. I hope everyone can feel the comfort of being understood.
