Hi I'm Tristen

Husband, father, friend, entrepreneur. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful & selfless wife and six awesome kids. I am grateful for their patience with me as I do my best to be a better husband and dad. I am working hard at being a successful entrepreneur. All the obstacles are worth it. I love learning. I enjoy studying the Gospel, biographies, and business and entrepreneurship books. Free time wise- I spend as much of it as I can with my wife and kids, collectively and individually. We spend a lot of memorable time with our extended family and friends. I enjoy reading inspiring non-fiction and fiction, watching movies and listening to music which helps me move forward. I look forward to other hobbies with family and friends like metal detecting, paint-balling, remote control cars, travel and our yearly tradition of going to Lake George and Palmyra, NY. I find fulfillment and satisfaction in service to others, service in the Church and seeking to be a better friend to the friendless. My primary aims in life are to become like Jesus Christ, have a strong relationship with him and be worthy to enter His presence. I also desire to create experiences and memories with my family which will last forever and to enjoy each moment. I try to remember to savor the small, seemingly incidental, daily moments with my wife, children and loved ones. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I am always striving for a deeper relationship with Them.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Church before I was born. However, I am not a Mormon because I was born into a Mormon home. I believe that a true & faithful Mormon is a follower of Jesus Christ, no matter if they've been a Mormon for a short or long time. I follow my Savior because of knowing the truth through intense personal trials and seeking further truth, along with the motivation of knowing who I am and what He can give me strength to become. I know I can only reach my full potential following Him in His restored Church on earth. I know what I must do to live with my wife, children and loved ones forever in Heaven. There is nothing I want more than this. Heaven will not be heaven without each other and I am forever indebted to our Savior for providing the way and making all of this possible. I am not perfect and will never be in this life, but with Him I can be a little better each day.

How I live my faith

First and foremost I really put effort into being a better husband, dad, family member and friend by looking at myself on a daily basis to see what I need to improve in, working on one area at a time. I pray and study the scriptures on a daily basis and intentionally look for opportunities to serve my loved ones and strangers alike. I love our country, the Constitution and the Republic which our Founding Fathers established. With whatever time I can spare I make my voice heard with fellow Americans to defend and uphold these things. I do my best to lay my desires as second to the Lord's will. I desire to become an effective teacher and leader in the Church, giving my best to whatever assignment I receive.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Tristen
Faith in Jesus Christ is confidence in His power and strength which we don't have....trusting that He will do what He promises if we do our part, which is to turn to Him with an open heart, willing to listen and do what He counsels us to do. As we do this we see that His promises are real because the blessings of them unfold in our lives. By this you'll know for yourself it is true- You'll see He does love you and will save you and make you a new person. Our faith in Him increases based on this real-life experience. Show more Show less
