Hi I'm Bronwyn-Anne

I am a native Maori from the beautiful land of Aotearoa, New Zealand, love chocolate and movie nights and Im a Mormon.

About Me

Tena Koe! My name is Bronwyn-Ann Wikaira. I am of Maori, Irish and English heritage and am a wife to my soul mate, mother to 10 beautiful children-8 daughters and 2 sons and a grandmother to my beautiful grandson Esperance. I am a stay at home mother, which keeps is pretty busy and am also studying part time extramurally towards a BA Degree in Education and Maori. I love to sing with my siblings and children, do kapahaka, wakaama, zumba and particularly enjoy researching and gathering Family History/whakapapa, learning the stories of my forefathers and mothers and spending time with whanau. I am from the beautiful land of Aotearoa (New Zealand) and am really grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So grateful to a pair of young Mormon missionaries, Elders Lyon and Erickson, who knocked on my Mum and Dads door in 1978 and shared the Gospel Plan with our family. 1979 saw our family go to the Hamilton Temple and be sealed as a "Forever Family". Having our Family relationships last beyond the grave... who doesnt wish for that?

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because its the best. To know that I have a loving Heavenly Father whos greatest desire is for me to learn, grow and return home with all of our loved ones, to him one day. To know he has provided a plan for us to do that and a Savior, even Jesus Christ to atone for our mistakes we all make in life, is absolute pure love which blows me away. Through learning and living the principles of the Church of Jesus Christ and being true to promises Ive made with my Heavenly Father, ive felt the confirmation that these things are true. I know my family can be together forever. I want my relationships to go beyond the grave, and I testify that this can happen if we are true to the Gospel and its teachings, and remain faithful even to the end :)

How I live my faith

I pray to my Father in Heaven often, to express gratitude for all that he has blessed me with. I also pray to ask for help and guidance throughout my day. I try to study the scriptures daily, as they contain Gods truths that we need to follow. The scriptures teach us all things which we should do, direct revelation from a loving Heavenly Father... The scriptures are the source of many answers to life. As a family we pray morning and night-in gratitude and to call upon the powers of heaven to be with us and bless us in those areas of our life that need attending to. We also have Family Home Evenings on Monday nights-a time set aside specifically for our family, to learn truths of the gospel, sing, share thoughts and experiences one with another, play games, enjoy time together and strengthen our family relationships. Every Sunday we strive to keep the Sabbath day Holy by attending our Church meetings, partaking of the sacrament to renew our covenants and promises we made at baptism and fulfilling assignments and callings when needed. There is no paid clergy in the church. This is one way we can show our love to our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ, by serving in positions when we are called upon. I hope my example speaks volumes about who I am without the need for me having to literally open my mouth and say who I am and what I believe.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Bronwyn-Anne
I know that the Holy Ghost can bless our lives through directing us to do good. All people are born with the light of Christ. A gift that lets us know the difference between right and wrong. The light of Christ comes and goes. The Gift of the Holy Ghost is bestowed upon those who enter into the waters of baptism and take upon themselves the name of Christ, meaning, you will do that which Christ would have you do. The Holy Ghost will be your constant guide and companion if you live worthy of its companionship through obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. Show more Show less
