Hi I'm Payton

I love my family, I teach seminary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my wife and we have been married for almost three years now. We have a baby boy...named Eason...who is 16 months old! He is crazy and loves to get into anything and everything. I love being a father. My wife is battling a unique form of cancer, and is doing very well. We are learning much from this experience. I also teach seminary every morning at 6:40 AM!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I served a mission in the Washington DC North mission and during those two years strengthened my testimony of the gospel and of the Lord. I know that this is true and what God wants me to be doing with my life.

How I live my faith

Teaching seminary every day. I enjoy serving my fellow brothers and sisters...the youth are wonderful and I learn from them.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Payton
Joseph Smith was the prophet of the Restoration. He was a tool in the Lord's hands to allow all of the blessings that the Lord wanted to give His children to come back to earth. His prophetic vision and faith has allowed millions to feel the peace and happiness that comes from living the fullness of the Gospel. I am very grateful for Joseph Smith and thank him for his sacrifices, and the life that he led. Show more Show less

What is the priesthood?

Payton
The priesthood is the authority from God given to men so that they can act in His name to help others. Without the priesthood there would be no true church on the earth. The priesthood was restored when John the Baptist, and later Peter, James, and John came to earth as resurrected beings and conferred it upon Joseph Smith. I can trace my authority back from my father and beyond to Joseph Smith and eventually to the Lord Himself. The priesthood is real, I have seen it exercised in my life. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to use this divine power. Show more Show less
