Hi I'm Blake

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of one (almost two). I'm currently attending dental school and really enjoying it. I love spending time with my family playing games, reading books, and doing anything outside when weather allows us to.

Why I am a Mormon

I love Jesus Christ and want to live His teachings; to love him and those around me. I want to be a better husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Being a Mormon is just that. By choosing to be a Mormon, I choose to live the gospel as taught by the Savior and all the prophets He has called to represent Him, both in the past and in the present.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in everything I do. I try to learn more about the gospel every day and to live it a little better. I respond to feelings and needs of others. When I interact with people, I try to be kind and to share a smile. The single most important thing I do to live my faith is try each day to be a loving husband and father; to provide for the needs of my family financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Every Sunday we attend church as a family. We pick up another man on our way who is confined to a wheelchair. He can't talk much, but we always talk about the scriptures and the Savior as we drive. My responsibilities at church are with the young men. I teach their class on Sunday and work with them in Boy Scouts during the week. I love working with those young men. All of my opportunities to serve in the church teach me more about the Savior's love for each of us.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Blake
The family is the fundamental unit of this life and afterwards. It's in the family that we have the greatest opportunities to love and be loved, to forgive and to be forgiven. There is no better place to learn to live the gospel of Jesus Christ than the family. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Blake
Most certainly, yes. We believe that Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. We believe that through the atonement of Christ, or His suffering for our sins and overcoming death through His resurrection, all mankind can be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. I know He lives and loves us, and He has provided a way for us to return to the presence of God. Show more Show less
