Hi I'm Nicole

I'm a very happy Mormon.

About Me

I am a child of God. I believe that I was created by my Heavenly Father and that He gave me earthly parents who taught me to be a good person and look for the good in others. I have talents, many of which, are the "behind-the-scenes" type of talents. I like to organize and plan things. I am very grateful for the creativity of others and have enjoyed doing crafts and projects from their ideas. I like to think of fun ways to serve others. I like many types of music, but I am especially fond of piano music. I spent some of my early years as an elementary teacher and find young children to be so delightful and fun. They make me laugh and I love to laugh! I believe that Families Are Forever and my favorite times are with my family and friends. I have had the blessing of moving around quite a bit and have met some very choice people along the way...I am who I am because of the experiences God has blessed me with. Pollyanna had a good philosophy- Play the Glad Game!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, I choose to be a Mormon. I became an active member when I was 14 years old. That was the best decision I have ever made! I recently read a quote that, "True friends make it easier to live the gospel." The Mormon Church in every way makes me want to be a better person. I believe this life is a test and that one day I will be held accountable for how I lived my life. I will be held responsible for how I helped other people become better. When I was young, there was always a feeling inside of me that there was something more for me...something was waiting for me...when I went to the Mormon Church...I immediately knew that I had found what was waiting for me. It was the gospel of Jesus Christ. It gave me direction and purpose for this life. I thank my Heavenly Father for each and every day that I live on this earth and am allowed to be a part of bringing the world His truth!! a href="http://mormon.org/me/1DNJ-eng/"img src="http://mormon.org/bc/assets/images/widget/profile-button/my-faith-pink-fancy.png" alt="I'm a Mormon."//a

How I live my faith

Every day, I am involved in the same types of activities as many other people in this world. I volunteer in the community at the schools, libraries, and recreational facilities. I try to balance my life so that I am attending to my emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual needs. But, one thing is for sure...the decisions I make on a daily basis are motivated and guided by my belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that what I do and say is a reflection of my beliefs and so I try to do that which would be pleasing to my Heavenly Father. I work very closely with the members that I attend church with and I want them to know that I care about them not just inside our church building...but, I care about them and the lives they lead on a daily basis. My religion is not simply something I do...it is a lifestyle!

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

Nicole
Frequently, I am confronted with questions or rumors that circulate about our religion. I am so grateful for the people in my life who have NOT judged me and have taken the time to get to know what I truly believe. I have been grateful for those who have taken the time to clear up the misconceptions and have come to realize that I am no different than them, in that, I am here on this earth to be tried and tested and that God would have us help each other on that journey. I pray for opportunities to share this precious gift that I have- the gospel of Jesus Christ- but, I recognize that it is not me that converts people or changes them. It is the Spirit of God and the Light of Christ that brings them to the truth. My only hope is that I can be an instrument in His hands and help people find their Savior and Redeemer- Jesus Christ.
