Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm a husband, father, employee, friend, and confidant. I love to read, watch good movies and laugh. I think teenagers are great!

About Me

I enjoy movies with clean comedy, family, good messages, and the struggle for that which is good. I like stories about the struggle between good and evil and how there is always a choice to do the right thing even when it may be the hard thing. I love to read, sing and spend time with my beautiful and wonderful wife and our four wonderful children . I have been married to a wonderful woman for nearly 17 years and enjoy every moment of it. I have a dual degree in business management and want to expand my horizons in the future. I love computers, programming and writing anything like, documents, forms, letters, books, poetry and quips. My degree in Business Management emphasizes Information Systems and Human Resource Management which serve me well and help me relate to people and the technology we use everyday. I work for a globally recognized company as a Manager for Procurement & Stores. My most favorite activities involve spending time with and serving my family serving in my community, my church, and my country. Politics is fun, challenging and a bit vexing. I have the privilege of working with others and serving them. It is an honor to help people embrace a central and powerful, fundamentally-sound value system, based on the principles and teachings of Jesus Christ the Redeemer of the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined as a child at the age of eight, and like all children had a taste of what being a Mormon was all about. I grew up studying and learning with family. But my personal conversion came when I was a teenager, looking for validation to my life and searching out my feelings. I had a rough go through high school and struggled with self-esteem, but found out through intense study, prayer and personal reflection and meditation that the church and the truths that I was taught as part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ helped me to understand that God loves us all and knows everything about us. He wants us to discover for ourselves the potential that He knows we possess. Because of the truths taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I have come to understand this love and have gained a conviction to follow the teachings of Christ by way of His church. It contains a path of clarity, there is no question about life and death and my purpose in this life or my capacity for success or good. I know that I am a Son of God and that His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer and that he gave his life willingly for us. I know that he died and resurrected for us. I continue to follow His teachings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because they are true, clear and easy to understand and there is a fullness of Jesus' light that shines from His church. I don't have to search for solace in my life from other outside sources because I have found it from above and through His love. I have learned to follow teachings that I have personally prayed about and have uncovered in my own mind and heart that they are true by personal revelation (through the whisper of God's Spirit) to me.

How I live my faith

I serve now by helping the members of the church learn to share their feelings, testimony and love of the Savior to others by inviting them to come and see for themselves what this is all about. When I served as the Lay leader of my local church unit, I had the humble honor of serving the members; help them handle difficulties, problems and concerns in their lives; make positive improvements and follow more closely Jesus Christ's example. I have served with previous leaders in handling and arranging and coordinating their administrative tasks and responsibilities related to members & their needs. Just prior to this, I was a youth leader and watching them grow and develop into fine young men, bound for success in life. Through goals and aspirations of service to their fellowmen, their example affected me deeply in spirit and I was able to counsel and guide them in their path toward a more excellent way. I have served as a Sunday School Teacher, Missionary Leader, Men's Organization President, Sunday School President, Teacher Trainer, Music Leader, Choir Director, Children's Organization Teacher and Children's Music Leader. I also served two years in Brazil as a missionary for and was able to teach and serve. I learned to love Brazil and it's people. I love to work with and serve others and try to help others feel loved and needed by greeting them each week. There is nothing greater than sharing my love for the Savior with others and sharing my testimony with them.

Where did Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints begin?

Jeremy
The Church began humbly as a result of an honest question asked by a young man searching for the truth in 1820 in Up State New York in the United States. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Jeremy
We believe that God is our Father, we are his spirit children. We believe that we are the focus of everything that He does. He wants our growth, success and our good. He is a Man of Holy nature, pure, loving and just. We are created in his image. We appear like him in stature and form. He has all power and has all ability to show us how to become like Him. What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jeremy
The Atonement of Jesus Christ was the final sacrifice and selfless act that He performed for mankind. It was in this powerful yet gruesome personal suffering that the Savior was able to take upon Himself, both in body and in spirit, in behalf of the unrighteous who are willing to repent and return to the Lord and keep his commandments. It was the suprement act of vicarious work for others. His sacrifice caused Him such agony that the burden of it all caused his body to sweat great drops of blood for each of those that believe in Him and keep His commandments. Jesus Christ did this because He loves us and for the simple reason that we are all sinners. He led a sinless life so that through him we might be saved in the Kingdom of His Father. Because of our imperfections and sins we could not return to the presence of our Eternal Father without some form of a payment made to appease the demands of justice upon us for our own sins. His sacrifice and our obedience to His commandments allows us to enter the straight gate that the Lord spoke of in the Scriptures and live together in the presence of His Father and our Father. Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Jeremy
I know we have an oracle that speaks on behalf of the Lord to us today. We have a living prophet like Moses in calling and responsibility (maybe not in the purpose of his call - like Moses was asked to move the Hebrews out of Egypt), but has a true calling for us today. He has a very special and very difficult responsibility to convey to us the will of the Lord today, because the Lord is still interested in our lives just as he was in the days of the Israelites in Egypt. Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jeremy
Husband and Wife can be sealed together for this life and forever. I know this. I know that families will live together in heaven after this life. That is a pure truth. It is God's desire for us and His plan for us as His children. Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Jeremy
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not in any way endorse or support one political party or another nor does it encourage the support of one candidate over another. Instruction goes only so far as to teach us how the Lord would expect us to live our life and then choose for ourselves the best candidate or party with which to affiliate ourselves to, support or endorse on our own. Nevertheless, The Church does encourage us to involve ourselves in the political process. Our leaders encourage us to actively participate in community, state and national events that shape our lives and affect all of us. Their counsel is to avoid a passive interest in government, but rather take a proactive interest in politics to affect great good in our communities for the benefit of all. Show more Show less
