Hi I'm Ryan

I am optimistic about the future. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and a father of young children and I enjoy spending every free minute playing and engaging with them; trying to soak up every last opportunity to spend time with them while they are young. I seek to strike a balance between being dedicated in my profession and clients, while still being engaged at home. I play the organ in Church each Sunday and enjoy writing, reading and playing piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of it makes me more optimistic regarding the future of this world. In such a turbulent and distracted world, my faith makes me happy to be alive at this time in the history. There is so much opportunity for so many people in this world. Today I see so much negativity, pessimistic attitudes and glass-is-half-emptyism. Being a Mormon helps me to see that this is truly the best time to be alive in the history of the world. As a part of this Church, I see and understand that the gospel of Jesus Christ is truly the "good news." Additionally, I am a Mormon because its teachings are good and its fruit is delicious. The gospel inspires me to be my best and our leaders advise and counsel us to do those things which are right. The doctrines we are taught and strive to live lead me and my family to a better and more fulfilled life.

How I live my faith

In addition to playing the organ most Sunday's in church, I live my faith by striving to be the best husband and father to my family. Each Sunday, and every day after, is an opportunity for me to be a kinder, more loving and supportive person in my home. I see being the best father and husband as my greatest service and the way I can best exemplify my faith. That is the great thing about this faith, I live my faith by becoming the best person I can become through service and supporting those I love.

What is the difference between attending a Mormon Church and a Mormon Temple?

Ryan
A Mormon church is a place of worship where all may come. Both people who are Mormon and people who are not come to our churches. There they are instructed regarding the Savior, his atonement and the things we need to do to return to him one day. A Mormon temple is also a place of worship, however only those members who have lived up to a certain standard may enter a temple. It is one of the most sacred places on earth. Like a Mormon church, in the Mormon temple we learn more about the Savior, and his plan for us and our families. The things we are taught in the temple are sacred to the point that we don't talk about them outside of the temple. However, anyone who is willing to live the required standards may enter the temple and be instructed thereby learning more about the Savior. Show more Show less
