Hi I'm Maria Alejandra

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints

About Me

My Latina Hispanic background offers me and others the best of both worlds!. I'm passionate about improving the lives of others through education and during my free time I enjoy reading books, socializing and living a joyful and productive life. I completed Masters degree in Education with the idea to promote great teaching. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Brigham Young University. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish and is raising two daughters to appreciate the blessing of diversity.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm glad to be part of a church who views women of divine worth and identity, who promotes progress not only during life but the next and helps cultivate christlike attributes as you practice mormonism. The goals of the mormon church aid in creating healthy and strong families, be happy under whatever circumstance and understand better your relationship with christ. Having grown in the church did not give me an automatic pass to these beliefs, I have had to work hard at inquiring beliefs that align with my goals of having eternal life for myself and loved ones.

How I live my faith

I dedicate my time and efforts to building and influencing my posterity and those around me. Believing that service to others is the greatest way to repay the blessings enjoyed while on earth. I served a mission for the church in Houston Texas when I was 21 years old and shared with many my love for Jesuschrist. I was married in an lds temple and partook of everlasting covenants and commitments to unite my family forever. I taught at the Missionary Training Center and volunteer extensively during my 7 years of living in Provo, UT .

How can we stop the spread and influence of pornography?

Maria Alejandra
I believe women have a huge influence over men who struggle with addictions, when women stand up for righteousness and set high standards of morality. If women all over the world, unite with one voice to express discouragement towards such actions there would be less acceptance of the perpetuation of it and create the prevention of not having it as part of one's life. Men might be motivated to never start or the courage to stop if a woman makes this difference in a man's life. Show more Show less
