Hi I'm Rheanna

I'm a wife, mother of 5, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

There are so many things that make me. I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister and so much more. My husband and I have been married for almost 10 years! Time sure does fly by much faster than I ever thought it would. We are the proud and happy parents of four children with another one on the way. Being a wife and mother has taught me so much, but mostly that we are all children of God and it's my responsibility to do the best I can to raise and take care of my family. I spend a lot of hours of my day cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, homework with kids, and just trying to keep the house from caving in! When I do get some time to myself, I enjoy reading, doing family history-mostly indexing, crocheting, playing the piano and recently I have discovered the fulfillment from running though not so much currently-running and pregnant don't go well together for me!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the LDS Church and didn't really consider that this wasn't something that everyone had in their lives. As I got older, I often questioned whether I was truly blessed to have structure, rules, 2 parents that I could count on, brothers, and a belief system that I could fall back on or if other teenagers had it easier because they partied, got into trouble and "enjoyed" life. The older I got, the more I just knew that I have a great opportunity to learn, love and live the gospel of Jesus Christ in all that I did and said. I know that I have a Savior who loves me. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon which is the word of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our living Prophet on the earth today. I know that I am a child of God and that families are eternal. For all of that, I'm truly grateful!

How I live my faith

For me, living the gospel of Jesus Christ is something that I strive to focus on daily. I try to being each day with personal prayer, reading my scriptures and either reading a chapter in an uplifting, inspiring book or reading an article or two in our Church's Magazine, the Ensign. I find that gives me the strength I need to be the mother of our four children. I also work with the children at Church on Sunday's and organize the music for many different meetings. Music has always been a HUGE part of life in our home and it's such a blessing to share my talents and help others share theirs to bring the Holy Ghost into our meetings and our homes. I feel like I'm able to live my life each day with joy, peace and gratitude because of the opportunities I have to teach my children about the gospel of Jesus Christ and to serve others around me.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Rheanna
The joy and peace that the gospel brings from knowing that we are Children of God and that He loves us. In the trials and tragedies of life, having something consistent and loving to lean on makes all the difference.  Show more Show less
