Hi I'm Grif

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 5. 3 girls followed by 2 boys. I am an accountant by education. I have been married for over 10 years now and my appreciation grows regularly for the family that I have been blessed with.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church for all of my life. Even with that heritage, I have found that I still had to find out for myself if what I had been taught was truly the appropriate path to take. As I youth, I found myself asking different questions and trying to find those answers in the scriptures, as well as in talking with people. I would find that at times, the answers that I sought did not come quickly or even in my desired time frame. But, what I have become impressed with, is that they came. Each answer, it its own little way, helped pave and strengthen my belief in God and His son. I found that upon strengthening that relationship with my Maker, I became assured that my current path was the correct one, and that the Church was the vehicle provided by God to allow us back into His presence. The peace and serenity that knowledge brings is unmatched, and the reason why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have been given many different responsibilities in the Church. I have also had the opportunity to have many responsibilities outside the church also. I have voluntereed in youth organizations, mainly involved in the Church's association with the Boy Scouts of America. I have also been a coach for youth teams. I have found that my faith has assisted in handling opportunities as they present themselves. Understanding those you work with as children of a supreme being places a different emphasis on ways to interact with them. I am currently serving as the Bishop of the ward I live in. This allows for an opportunity to associate with all ward members, no matter their age, as we continue through life. I am impressed with the understanding that a kind God is aware of His children here on earth, and that He has prepared a plan and an opportunity for success for each of those children.
