Hi I'm Jon

I'm a husband, father, story teller, scout advocate, risk management consultant, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married to my best friend, have four wonderful children, work for a consulting firm, enjoy working with scouts and love doing church and community service.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I am always looking for ways to improve my relationship with Jesus Christ. It is Jesus Christ who has blessed my life, my marriage, and my family. I'm a Mormon because I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I'm a Mormon because I find great peace in being able to communicate with my Heavenly Father through prayer and feel His peace as I study His words. I'm a Mormon because Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ sustains me in my most difficult times.

How I live my faith

It's more than a belief but a way of life. The decisions I make throughout the day are based on the principles and doctrines that I understand and hold dear. I continually pray to my Heavenly Father both morning and night. I read the scriptures that give me spiritual strength and help me to stay on the right path. Through my actions and my example I show others how they can be happy through the gospel of Jesus Christ. My faith is my life.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Jon
How grateful I am for the Bible. My family enjoys reading from the Bible. We love to read about the how the world was organized, Noah and the flood, Joseph (and the coat of many colours), Moses, Job, etc. Studying from the Bible brings great peace not only for me but for my family.
